The Royal Swazi Hotel is a magnificent casino hotel complex situated in the kingdom of Swaziland. It is set in a lush and verdant valley which the dignified Swazis call 'Ezulwini' - heaven. Guests stopping over in Swaziland during their tour of South Africa will receive a warm Swazi welcome upon arrival.

Accommodation is provided in 149 rooms. The rooms are categorized as standard, luxury and family rooms and suites, all decorated with sophistication and style. Guests may also request inter-leading rooms, which makes keeping an eye on children easier. Basic amenities include en suite bathrooms, televisions, air-conditioning and tea/coffee facilities. Room service is available 24 hours a day for the guests' convenience.

The hotel boasts a wonderful spa which offers a variety of relaxing spa treatments and massages. A big Jacuzzi next to the swimming pool is an alternative haven for relaxation. While parents try their luck in the casino, children can play in Camp Kwena at the Lugogo Sun, or at the Carnival Factory at the Royal Swazi Spa Hotel. The hotel has an 18-hole championship golf course with fantastic scenery changes at each hole.

A host of local attractions can be visited from a base at the hotel. The colorful, bustling Mbabane market forms part of the city center and is an excellent location to experience local flavors and traditional art forms. The Mantenga Cultural Village is filled with traditional artifacts and displays the ancient ways and traditions of Swazi life. At the Mliwane Wildlife Sanctuary, visitors can experience various antelope and other mammal species on daily game drives.

Riaan's Review

The best accommodation in the Kingdom of Swaziland can be enjoyed when staying at the Royal Swazi Sun. I have only stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions. It has a nice setting, the rooms are comfortable and the quality of meals quite acceptable, though nothing to write home about. A short stay at this hotel is often included in tours that travel from the Kruger National Park to Zululand or vice versa.
