Savute Elephant Lodge

Savute Elephant Lodge lies within the Savute region of Chobe National Park, a remote, wildlife-dense sector in northern Botswana. Access is typically by scheduled light aircraft to the Savute airstrip from Maun or Kasane, followed by a short road transfer. The lodge overlooks the unpredictable Savute Channel, whose intermittent flow shapes local wildlife movements. Landscapes range from open savanna and mopane woodland to the baobab-dotted Gubatsa Hills. Its park setting ensures expansive traversing on game drives, with superb dry-season concentrations around water and rewarding green-season birding after the rains.

The lodge features 12 spacious, luxuriously appointed tented suites raised on wooden decks for views and airflow. Efficient cooling (air-conditioning or eco-cooling) helps moderate Savute’s heat, while private decks provide comfortable seating for wildlife watching between activities.
