Buhala Lodge

Buhala Lodge sits on the southern bank of the Crocodile River opposite Kruger National Park, a short drive from Malelane Gate. The river frontage provides regular sightings of elephants, hippos, and plains game from the deck, while easy access to the gate makes this a practical base for guided game drives, Panorama Route excursions, and regional outings.

The lodge offers 18 rooms and suites, all with en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee facilities. Categories include Standard Double Rooms facing the gardens and mountains, River Rooms with expansive Crocodile River outlooks, Balcony Rooms positioned for elevated views into Kruger, and Elephant Garden Suites with outdoor seating and, in some cases, outdoor showers. Room allocation can be tailored to view preference and proximity to the main areas.

Guests enjoy a dining room and outdoor seating areas that pair well with regional South African wines, a swimming pool for warm afternoons, and landscaped grounds suitable for short walks and casual birding. The team can arrange full-day Kruger drives, Panorama Route sightseeing, and tee times at Leopard Creek by prior request, ensuring a balanced mix of wildlife, scenic touring, and leisure.
