Location & Setting

Tshwene is nestled amongst the treetops in Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, set in the Waterberg Mountains; it is one of the most picturesque Big Five reserves in South Africa. The lodge is an ideal romantic retreat in a malaria-free game reserve. Reaching the lodge requires a drive of three hours from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Rooms

The lodge comprises five spacious and luxurious suites. Rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with air conditioning and en suite bathrooms that feature indoor and outdoor showers. Each room has a private viewing deck from which the rocky outcrops of the Taaibos River Valley can be seen.

Facilities

Central areas feature a restaurant, spa, gym, and swimming pool set in beautiful surroundings. The lodge also has two lounges where guests can choose specific views and comfort. An outdoor viewing deck is ideal for watching animals traverse the surrounding savanna. Dinners are served in an outdoor boma around a crackling fire.
