The Beach Hotel in Swakopmund, Namibia is situated fifty meters from the sea. Swakopmund is a once-prosperous old harbor town. It was founded as a German Port, but as most commercial activity moved to Walvis Bay, the town escaped serious development and a lot of the colonial German architecture still remains. The peaceful seaside hub has since become a tourist destination and is known for its astoundingly beautiful natural scenes, such as the spectacular dunes just outside the town. The freezing Atlantic Ocean transitions into the harsh desert landscape of the Namib Desert at Swakopmund.
The Beach Hotel has 33 rooms with modern décor and balconies. The rooms all have air-conditioning, daily housekeeping, tea and coffee stations, a mini bar, television, complimentary WiFi and complimentary toiletries. The Beach Hotel also has large apartments available and these apartments can even be rented out in combination with rooms. The Luxury Apartments have a living room with an open-plan kitchen, a bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a lavish corner balcony with sea views. The Comfort Apartments have two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a balcony. The Comfort Twin Rooms and Comfort Double Rooms are large units all on the third and fourth floors with sea views.
The Standard Rooms are smaller, more economical rooms that face the vast Namib Desert rather than the sea. The Standard Rooms also do not have their own balconies, but share a balcony with the neighboring unit. The Standard Family Rooms face north and south and thus have partial sea views. The Standard Family Rooms consist out of two inter-leading bedrooms that share a bathroom and a balcony.
Dining at the Beach Hotel can be enjoyed at the Anchor Point Restaurant and Bar. Breakfast, a light lunch and dinner are available, and there is also the option of room service from 18:00 to 21:30. The Anchor Point has a wide-ranging menu containing pastas, seafood, steaks, plenty of starters and desserts and much more. Don’t miss enjoying a drink on the sundowner deck as you watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean.
