Highgrove House is a luxurious country house between White River and Hazyview in the Lowveld of South Africa's Mpumalanga Province. It is set on a working Macadamia Nut and Avocado Farm. The original colonial homestead was constructed around the turn of the 19th century. The hotel is a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Johannesburg and just under an hour from the airport near Nelspruit.
Guests are accommodated in two exclusive and six luxury rooms. The executive rooms have a private splash pool and courtyard. All rooms feature a spacious bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The suites feature cotton linen and down duvets. All suites have verandas and separate sitting rooms and are fitted with fireplaces and overhead fans.
Breakfast is served at the Victorian-style gazebo with its lovely garden views. Gourmet dinners are enjoyed in the candlelit restaurant, which has been voted among South Africa's finest restaurants on numerous occasions. To maintain an air of sophistication, the restaurant has a dress code.
