The town is one of South Africa's oldest settlements and has a unique historic character. Swellendam Country Lodge is a magnificent example of the region's architectural heritage. It is set in lovely gardens with views of the Langeberg Mountains. It can be reached from Cape Town and parts of the Garden Route in about two hours and twenty minutes.
All rooms have a stylish, warm atmosphere, combining classic charm with natural, modern tones. There is a choice of either cottage or luxury rooms. The rooms have high ceilings and wide windows for ample natural light. The private bathrooms are fitted with both a shower and a bathtub. Room features include air conditioning, heating systems, and tea and coffee-making capabilities.
