Tsala Treetop Lodge is one of the most exclusive accommodations in the Garden Route region.
Tsala Treetop Lodge is a unique property which is located amongst the treetops of an ancient indigenous forest between the holiday towns of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna in the Garden Route region. A more inviting setting and lodge can hardly be imagined. Constructed of stone, thatch and glass, Tsala makes a bold architectural statement.
The lodge features ten suites and six two-bedroom villas, all decorated in rich textures and warm colors. The suites each have a bedroom with en suite bathroom as well as a separate lounge area with a fireplace. The suites all have private decks and infinity pools. The villas are laid out in roughly the same way, the only difference being a second en suite bedroom and a small kitchenette which complements the lounge and dining room areas. The various suites are connected to the main lodge via wooden walkways.
The main lodge is designed to resemble the ruins of an ancient African civilization. The commanding presence of the entrance is supported by blackwood columns. The Afro-baroque decor draws inspiration from various African cultures and is a theme which continues throughout. This lodge offers some of the finest accommodation in the Garden Route and is the ideal base from which to enjoy an exclusive tour of the region.
I highly favor properties that provide an experience unique to the area in which they are located, in a way that breaks with convention. A stay at Tsala definitely meets and exceeds these requirements. You will find well-appointed rooms and general areas - as well as fine dining - when staying at Tsala. It creates a feeling of being enveloped in the forest, with the sounds of bird song echoing in the distance and small antelope scurrying about on the forest floor.Read More
