Overview of Angels View Hotel

From its ridge above Graskop on Mpumalanga’s Panorama Route, Angels View looks over the forested escarpment and the Lowveld beyond.

Location & Setting

God’s Window is just 14 km away and the Three Rondavels a longer drive north, and waterfalls and short trails are scattered through the surrounding valleys. Day trips run easily toward Blyde River Canyon or into Kruger National Park through Phabeni Gate, about 48 km away near Hazyview. Winter mornings are often cool and misty, summer brings big storm skies, and the terraces face both sunrise and sunset.

Rooms

There are 37 rooms. Eighteen Superior Rooms and three Luxury Classic Suites have a minibar fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The ten Earth Grotto Suites add a mini kitchen, indoor and outdoor showers and a veranda, and the two Panorama Suites have a mini kitchen and a private balcony. Khoza House accounts for the other four rooms: it is a villa of four en suite doubles with its own kitchen, lounge and braai area. Every room is air-conditioned, with satellite TV, a safe and a hairdryer.

Facilities

The grounds hold three pools: a lap pool, a half-size Olympic pool and a children’s pool. Meals are served in Mumsy’s Dining Room and Ahe Restaurant, and Café Ahe doubles as the pool and cocktail bar. There is also a library, free Wi-Fi and parking, and an airstrip for helicopters and charter aircraft. The conference center, wedding chapel, glass marquee and amphitheater are used for events. Graskop Gorge Lift and the Big Swing are only 3 km down the road.
