The Cape Cadogan Hotel was originally a farmhouse that was altered to Victorian-style architecture in 1912 and proclaimed a national monument in 1984. The Georgian- and Victorian-style building hosts guests in twelve luxurious en suite bedrooms, decorated in a mixture of contemporary and antique furniture. The suites are all equipped with robes and slippers for added luxury. The dining room overlooks the pool and garden where continental or cooked breakfasts are served. Dinner is arranged on request only.

A comfortable lounge area with an open-plan fireplace creates a warm, romantic atmosphere. The garden and pool area is an ideal place to relax and unwind during a jam-packed holiday. Catch up on the internet provided in the library, or enjoy one of your favorite books from the library's selection.

The surrounding area offers many activities and attractions to enhance your tour, such as Robben Island, the Cape Peninsula and Table Mountain.  The famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is only a few minutes away, but for a distinct local flavor and more authenticity, take a stroll down Kloof Street and visit one of the local restaurants, street cafes or stylish boutique shops.

Riaan's Review

The Cape Cadogan is owned and managed by a family who have been luxury safari lodge owners and operators for decades. The quality of the rooms and the service levels only a small highly experienced company can aspire to, are evident at the Cape Cadogan. In my opinion, this four star hotel provides a much more refined and comfortable stay than some of the large five star hotels in Cape Town. It is included in quite a few of our Cape Town tours.
