Idube Game Lodge provides affordable four star accommodation in the illustrious Sabi Sand.
The four star Idube Game Lodge is located within the Idube Game Reserve in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Sabi Sand enjoys an unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park. As such, guests at Idube can enjoy the same prime wildlife sightings in a more exclusive and luxurious setting than that which is offered by the park.
Idube is also one of the more affordable (though nonetheless comfortable) South Africa safari lodges in Sabi Sand. Nine spacious safari chalets offer large, comfortable beds and recently renovated en suite bathrooms with both shower and bath. The chalets are also fitted with outdoor showers, air-conditioning, fans, coffee/tea facilities and private decks.
The lodge offers two larger suites in a more private setting away from the main buildings. Named the Makubela suites after a beloved leopard female that frequented the area, the suites are interleading and include the use of a private pool and large wooden patio.
Two authentic South African safari-style game drives are conducted daily in open Land Rovers. Educational and exciting bush walks are offered after breakfast. Idube hosts a well-stocked bar and lounging deck to enjoy observing the resident nyalas and warthogs. Alternatively, relax in the lodge's pool or request a spa treatment in your chalet by one of the in-house therapists.
Guests fly to Nelspruit from O R Tambo International Airport and are transferred overland to Idube Game Lodge in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve for their safari. Enjoy daily game drives in open Land Rovers in prime Big Five country. For a thrilling personal encounter with the African wilderness, opt for an after-breakfast bush walk in the company of a professional ranger and guide.
Back at the lodge, relax in the cool waters of the rock pool or request a therapist treatment in the privacy of your safari chalet. Work off the weight of the lodge's delicious cuisine in the in-house gym or indulge further with a drink and conversation at the well-stocked bar. For peaceful, private game viewing during your safari, head over to the underground hide at the Shadulu Dam or observe nyala and warthog grazing on the lawn beside your private patio.
