Brandberg White Lady Lodge

Located at the foot of the Brandberg in Damaraland, the lodge sits within a rugged landscape of granite outcrops and dry riverbeds. Self-drivers can reach it in roughly three hours from Swakopmund and about four and a half hours from Windhoek, making it a practical stop on a classic Namibia loop. From this base, guests explore the Ugab River corridor, the Brandberg’s ancient rock art, and wide desert plains. Clear, dry air and minimal light pollution deliver superb night skies and a strong sense of remoteness.

Accommodation spans 25 chalets and 5 luxury tents shaded by camelthorn trees. Interiors are simple and comfortable, prioritizing rest between desert excursions. Many chalets add private verandas to take in views of the surrounding valley and distant mountain. Luxury tents feature en-suite facilities and double beds, offering a closer connection to the desert with the convenience of hot showers and thoughtful amenities. Facilities include two generous swimming pools for midday heat, a welcoming lounge and bar, and a restaurant serving hearty meals after time on the trail. The activity desk arranges guided hikes to the White Lady panel, nature drives, birding, and desert-elephant tracking in the Ugab system when conditions allow. Deck areas provide relaxed vantage points for sunrise coffee and sunset views. The lodge’s position also works well for day trips across Damaraland’s landmarks, returning to cool waters and starlit evenings.
