Etosha Safari Camp is situated right outside Etosha National Park, offering easy access for safari game drives.
Etosha Safari Camp is right outside Etosha National Park in northern Namibia. A sizable part of this area is the Etosha Salt Pan, this massive salt pan stretches almost 2000 square miles. The hyper-saline conditions of the salt pan create conditions that attract interesting creatures which makes this area a sight to behold. During the summer, you will see hundreds of pelicans and flamingos flock to the salt pan to enjoy the water. The wildlife in the park is consistent throughout the whole year – prepare to be amazed by the animals, as the park is home to over a hundred different mammal species, 340 bird species and a 110 species of reptiles. Sighting these wonderful animals set against the backdrop of the amazing salt pan is an unforgettable sight.
Nestled in between mopane trees, there are 50 chalets that cater for families, couples and groups of friends. All of these chalets have en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and verandas where you can sit back and relax while enjoying the splendid view. Children are also welcome at Etosha Safari Camp. The restaurant and bar at the camp have character, to say the least, and you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to dining. You can enjoy your meals in an old train compartment, in the ‘township’ restaurant called “Okambasgu” (which translates to ‘our home’), around the fireplace or in the courtyard where there is live music by the The Etosha Boys. The Oshebeena bar is set up like a shebeen, so you can rest assured knowing that you will get the full African experience when visiting Etosha Safari Camp.
There are numerous activities to choose from while staying at Etosha Safari Camp. The most popular activity is to take game drives into the Etosha National Park, to enjoy the animals and interesting natural features. Two game drives are offered daily. Afterwards, you can take a dip in the swimming pool and enjoy the restaurants and bars that Etosha Safari Camp has to offer, or enjoy a drink on your veranda.
