Location & Setting

The lodge is built on the western bank of the Sabie River, which forms the unfenced boundary between the Sabi Sand (South Africa's premier luxury safari destination) and the Kruger National Park. Giant Ebony and Jackalberry trees provide shade and enhance the stunning natural setting. Ivory Lodge is easily accessible from Skukuza Airport via Shaw's entry gate to the Sabi Sand.

Rooms

Ivory Lodge consists of eight ultra-luxurious suites decorated in an African theme. Each suite has an open-plan bathroom as well as an outdoor shower. Guests can relax in their private heated plunge pool or sit in front of a log fire in their suite's lounge. Suites are equipped with air-conditioning and overhead fans. Beds are draped in mosquito netting, and only the finest linens are used. Suites are located some distance apart and offer absolute luxury and privacy.

Facilities

The main lodge complex features a dining room, lounge, and bar area, which leads out onto a deck shaded by ancient trees. A boma is located just off the deck. It provides an exceptional dining area and alternates with the dining room every second evening. In the boma, you will be served mouth-watering cuisine while enjoying a star-studded African sky, the sounds of the wild, and the ambiance created by a crackling log fire. Guests may also relax in the Lalamuka Health Spa or work up a sweat in the gymnasium.
