Ghost Mountain Inn is located near the Mkuze Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.
In Zululand, at the foot of Ghost Mountain, lies the four star Ghost Mountain Inn. Locals believe that the area is haunted, hence the name given to the majestic mountain and the inn. This hotel is within easy access of the Mkhuze Game Reserve. The reserve is a haven for bird lovers, with an incredible diversity of species. Mkuze also offers fine Big Five game viewing and incredible scenery - perfect additions to your tour of South Africa.
Guest accommodation consists of 50 en suite bedrooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, television and a telephone. The rooms are tastefully decorated in an African theme. A garden patio offers spectacular views and a great place to unwind after a day filled with activities. There are two bars on the premises. Tshaneni serves drinks on the terrace and is the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner, while the air-conditioned Mtwazi is located inside the hotel - a good choice on the fiercely hot and humid summer days.
Breakfast is enjoyed in the restaurant or on the terrace. The restaurant also serves sumptuous buffet dinners. A spa is available on the premises for those seeking some pampering during their holiday in South Africa. They make use of natural local products in their treatments. You are guaranteed to emerge feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated.
I have to admit that I have never stayed at, nor visited Ghost Mountain Inn. Other members of the African Sky team have. Based on their experiences and opinions, I can say that the hotel is the finest four star property in the region in which it is located, and that an abundance of different activities can be enjoyed while staying at Ghost Mountain Inn. Safari drives in Mkhuze, fishing in Jozini and a visit to the St. Lucia Wetland Park can all be enjoyed in this part of northern Zululand.Read More
