Exclusive Top-End

Little Kulala is a luxury desert lodge in the 37 000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve in the Namib Desert. It is situated some 17km (10.6 miles) from Sesriem and close to the home of the world's tallest dunes. The breathtaking isolation of the desert with its endless stretch of clear night sky, along with the unique design of the thatched chalets, will please the discerning traveler enjoying a luxury African safari.

The 11 chalets at Little Kulala feature climate-controlled rooms with unrestricted views of the open desert landscape. Each chalet has a private plunge pool, en suite bathroom, outdoor shower and an upstairs open terrace, where the more adventurous can sleep under the stars. The entertainment area consists of a library, lounge, dining areas and wine cellar. The sparkling communal pool is shaded from the desert by a wall of reeds.

To enhance your Namibian safari, guests can take part in a range of activities, such as visits to Sesriem and Sossusvlei, sundowners on a nearby mountain and hikes on the Black Mountain Trail. Hot air ballooning above the vast expanse of the desert is quite spectacular and very popular among visitors.

Upon arrival in Windhoek from O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, guests are chartered to Little Kulala in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve for their Namibia safari - a desert retreat with its feet abreast the sand sea. Throughout the duration of your safari package, discover the alien red landscape of Sossusvlei on a morning drive, or seek out ostrich, gemsbok and springbok in the reserve itself by foot.

Take in the private pleasure of your suite or ‘kulala' in the cool basin of its plunge pool or opt to stargaze and fall asleep on the cozy rooftop 'skybed'. Explore the nooks of the lodge's library, kick back in the lounge, and revel in tasty delicacies. Additionally, take a bird's-eye-view on a balloon safari and treasure the breathtaking panoramas before a scrumptious champagne breakfast - the perfect end to your African safari.
