Chief’s Camp is situated on the north-western side of Chief’s Island within the Moremi Game Reserve. Not only is this the largest land mass in the entire Okavango Delta, but the specific area wherein Chief’s Camp is situated - the Mombo Concession - is known for unmatched game viewing. The accommodation comprises out of twelve bush pavilions. Three of these units have king size beds and nine have twin beds. You do not even have to leave your pavilion to observe a variety of wild animals, but game drives with expert guides will astonish you with the sheer abundance of wildlife. Not only does the area have high concentrations of predators, but a large variety of plains game and the highest concentrations of rhinos that can be seen on safari in Botswana. If the water levels are sufficient, there is also the opportunity to explore the delta via traditional mokoro canoe. The mokoro trips provide magnificent sightings as well as very good bird watching opportunities.
Meals can be enjoyed out in the field or privately on request. Chief’s Camp also has a library for elementary research on the wild animals in the delta, along with various other books.
