Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is found in the southeastern part of the Moremi Game Reserve in the center of the Okavango Delta - one of the best locations for a Botswana safari . The lodge overlooks the clear waters of the Okavango Delta and a floodplain, in one of the most unspoiled wilderness areas in Africa.
Eight thatched safari cottages in a shady forest provide guests with accommodation at Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. Each room is en suite and has an outdoor shower. The cottages are decorated in a mixture of ocher and tactile textures, with a screen wall opening onto extraordinary views of the Okavango Delta wetlands and savanna. The cottages have a private raised deck overlooking the Santanadibe River. Each unit is equipped with an overhead fan.
In the middle of the forest is a swimming pool where guests can unwind during their safari. Under the trees is a sitting and dining area. Lit by candles and lanterns, the boma is an ideal setting in which to enjoy well-prepared dinners. Guests can also choose to dine on the deck of their own safari cottage. The central areas are comfortable and handsomely decorated in earthy tones.
Guests fly from O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to Maun in Botswana and are then chartered to Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge for their luxury African safari in Botswana. Enjoy daily game drives in the Okavango Delta in open 4x4 vehicles. Alternatively, explore this unique wilderness area on foot with a guide and tracker to enhance your safari experience.
Devote your afternoons to relaxing in the lodge's pool or continue your safari adventure on the delta's waterways in a motorized boat. While lunch is a tranquil affair under shady riverine trees, dinner time is star-studded and lantern-lit for an al fresco dining experience. Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge offers guests an authentic safari getaway.
Upon arrival at Sandibe, you will find a camp that blends in wonderfully well with its natural surroundings. The camp is small and intimate and offers a fine safari in Botswana's Okavango Delta. Clients of African Sky who've enjoyed a stay at Sandibe have provided a lot of positive feedback over the years regarding their experience at this camp. I would recommend a minimum stay of three nights to fully enjoy the Okavango, one of the world's most unique safari areas.
