Moolmanshoek Private Reserve

Cradled beneath the Witteberg Mountains near Clarens and Ficksburg, the reserve spans a highland basin of golden grasslands, sandstone cliffs and spring-fed streams. The mix of open plains, wetlands and rocky slopes supports abundant plains game and notable raptors, with broad views by day and exceptionally clear night skies.

Accommodation is in country-style rooms and suites — Standard Queen/Twin, Executive and Family configurations — many with fireplaces or Queen Anne stoves, underfloor heating in higher categories and mountain-view aspects. Interiors are individually furnished for a homely, farm-lodge feel, with practical comforts for couples and families.

Central lodge areas include a restaurant and bar, lounges with sandstone character, outdoor seating facing the valley, Wi-Fi in designated/common areas and conference/event venues nearby. An activity desk arranges guided rides, hikes, game drives and seasonal experiences on the greater reserve.
