Summerfields Rose Retreat is on a working Macadamia nut farm on the banks of the Sabie River near Hayzieview in South Africa's Mpumalanga Province. It has a beautiful setting with forested hills and river views. Reaching the property requires a drive of just over four and a half hours from Johannesburg. It is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport near Nelspruit.
The property consists of 13 tented suites. These luxurious tented suites have deep soaking baths and outdoor showers to enjoy. The suites have air-conditioning, roof fans, complimentary WiFi, and small fridges. The Forest Room, a spacious timber suite, is the alternative option for accommodation at the Summerfields Rose and is ideal for honeymooners. The suite is open-plan and steps out onto a private patio.
Breakfast and lunch are served at the River Café, which has a well-stocked library and offers stunning views of the Sabie River. Dinner is served in the Summerfields Kitchen, which overlooks an organic garden. The spa is on the banks of the river and features a steam room, jacuzzi, and swimming pool.
