Etosha National Park Safari Camps and Lodge Accommodation

Anderssons at Ongava has nine spacious suites overlooking the bush in the private Ongava Game Reserve. Wildlife regularly visits the waterhole in front of the lodge, and guests can also spend time in the photographic hide or join guided drives in Ongava and nearby Etosha.

Dolomite Resort sits on a rocky ridge in the quieter western part of Etosha National Park. The tented rooms look out across the plains, and several nearby waterholes attract wildlife throughout the dry season.

Nine chalets are set high above the plains of Etosha Heights Private Reserve. Guests join morning and afternoon game drives, spend time in the photographic hide and may see both black and white rhino during their stay.

Etosha Safari Camp lies about ten kilometers from Andersson Gate. The chalets are spread among mopane trees, and the property has a swimming pool, restaurant and informal bar with live music on some evenings.

Etosha Village is only two kilometers from Andersson Gate and has 55 air-conditioned units set among mopane trees. The property includes a buffet restaurant, bar and several swimming pools, making it a convenient and relaxed base near the park.

Halali Resort lies beneath a dolomite hill in the central part of Etosha. Rooms and chalets are shaded by mopane trees, while the floodlit waterhole, swimming pool, shop and filling station provide useful facilities during a stay inside the park.

Only three villas share Horizon by Ongava, formerly Little Ongava. Each has a private infinity pool and wide views across the reserve, giving guests considerable privacy between guided wildlife activities.

Namutoni Resort is built around a historic fort in eastern Etosha. Accommodation includes rooms and bush chalets, and the property has a restaurant, pool, shop, and a floodlit waterhole overlooking the surrounding plains.

Okaukuejo Resort lies 17 kilometers inside Andersson Gate and offers rooms, chalets, campsites, a restaurant, shop and swimming pool. Its main attraction is the floodlit waterhole, where wildlife can be watched throughout the day and after dark.

A waterhole below the main deck draws wildlife close to Ongava Lodge throughout the day. Fourteen chalets are set along a ridge, and guests can explore the private reserve on guided drives, walks and rhino-tracking excursions.

Families and travelers looking for a relaxed stay near eastern Etosha are well catered for here. Onguma Bush Camp has air-conditioned rooms, a swimming pool and a central dining area overlooking a waterhole.

Only four suites share this intimate camp on Onguma Nature Reserve. Each has a private plunge pool, a hot tub, and an uninterrupted view of the waterhole, which is also visible from a ground-level hide.

Tall trees and a dry riverbed give Forest Camp a shaded, peaceful setting. Its bungalows and suites include family options, and Etosha’s eastern entrance is close enough for full days of game viewing.

Seven tented suites face the waterhole at this quiet camp on Onguma Nature Reserve. Each has indoor and outdoor showers, a private deck and a wood-fired hot tub, while the shared areas are arranged around the same open view.

The Fort has an unusual Moroccan-inspired design and wide views across Onguma toward Fisher’s Pan. Spacious suites are spread away from the main building, with a pool, spa and waterhole viewing available between safari activities.

Onkoshi Resort has 15 chalets raised above the edge of Etosha Pan. It lies away from the public self-drive roads, giving guests a quiet stay inside the national park with uninterrupted views across the salt pan.

Safarihoek overlooks the plains of Etosha Heights Private Reserve from a low hillside. Its 11 air-conditioned chalets have private decks, and the lodge also has a swimming pool and a two-level photographic hide.
