A self-drive adventure that explores the southern and central areas of the revered Kruger National Park.
Clients are met upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg by a representative of African Sky Safaris & Tours, who will present them with their Kruger Park self-drive safari itinerary, a map book of South Africa and a GPS. At this time, clients are also presented with accommodation and other relevant vouchers which they will require on their self-drive tour. Clients are then assisted in obtaining their rental vehicle before embarking on their Kruger safari via the town of Nelspruit.
The different ecological areas, ranging from river-brush to open savanna, support an abundance of wildlife. The habits and feeding requirements of the different species vary and, as a result, the likelihood of encounters is influenced by the vegetation available in the area. Sightings of large game, most notably the Big Five, are sure to be an experience you will never forget. The lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard, and rhino are amongst the world’s most graceful and imposing mammals, and the two million hectare Kruger National Park is a refuge where these magnificent creatures still roam free, untouched by time and humanity. Guests spend three nights in Berg en Dal Rest Camp before venturing north to Satara where three more nights are spent in South Africa's premier conservation area.
Upon completion of their safari in the Kruger National Park guests return to Johannesburg via the Orpen Gate. The vehicle is returned at O.R. Tambo International Airport after a memorable safari in the Kruger National Park.
