4 Day Luxury Sabi Sand Safari

Guests are met on arrival at O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg or any other location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria. From here they are transferred to a flight bound for the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Sabi Sand is the oldest of the private game reserves in South Africa and is the birthplace of sustainable ecotourism. The reserve is home to most of South Africa's finest game lodges and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park to its east. The afternoon is devoted to a first open 4x4 safari in the Sabi Sand.

The day is devoted to two open 4x4 safaris in search of Africa's legendary Big Five. The safaris are led by an experienced ranger, whose intimate knowledge of the habits and behavior of the different animals is sure to add to the enjoyment of your experience. A bush walk is also conducted during the day, providing guests with the opportunity to come into close contact with some of the plains game species whilst on foot. The Sabi Sand is famous for its incredible leopard sightings, and you will almost certainly have the opportunity to spot the most elusive of the African cats during your safari in the Sabi Sand.

An African sunrise colors the sky as guests enjoy an early morning game drive in this unique wilderness environment. The Greater Kruger National Park is home to the greatest diversity of different mammal species on the African continent. The late afternoon safari continues into the evening and affords guests the opportunity to encounter the nocturnal creatures of Africa. The majority of predators, notably the lion and leopard, are nocturnal hunters and the evening safari might present sightings of these great cats on the hunt.

A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Johannesburg. Guests are met upon arrival at O R Tambo International Airport and will be transferred to any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria, or assisted with check-in to a connecting flight. Your Sabi Sand safari will leave you with only the fondest memories of this wild corner of Africa.
