The Finest Accommodation inside the Kruger Park

From Kruger's southern part to the valley of the Luvuvhu River in the northern reaches of the park, several private concessions with exclusive traversing rights and luxury lodges offer amazing safaris similar to, and in some ways even better than, the private reserves that form part of Greater Kruger National Park.

Here, you will enjoy a private slice of wilderness, two open 4x4 game drives daily accompanied by experienced local rangers and trackers, and immersion in wild Africa. The lodges range in quality from very comfortable four-star to luxury five-star establishments. The areas over which they have exclusive traversing rights are often larger than those of lodges in the Sabi Sand and Timbavati, typically 5,000 to 15,000 hectares, and the Makuleke concession in the far north covers about 24,000 hectares. Unlike visitors on Kruger’s public roads, concession guides may drive off-road to sightings and run night drives and guided walks.

Animal concentrations are significant, especially in the concessions in the southern and central parts of the park. You will have the opportunity to view the 'Big Five' and abundant other animal and bird species in a grand natural setting.

On the eastern edge of the park, Singita Lebombo and Singita Sweni stand close together, while Imbali, Hoyo Hoyo and Hamiltons Tented Camp are grouped in the central part of the park.

Farther south, Lion Sands Tinga and Narina lodges are marked near the Rhino Post concession lodge. Jock Safari Lodge and Lukimbi complete the picture in the southern part of the park, a region where the infographic shows the greatest number of lodges.
