1 Day Sun City & Pilanesberg Day Tour

After collecting you from any address in Johannesburg or Pretoria, we drove northwest past Hartbeespoort Dam and into North West Province, arriving at Pilanesberg National Park in time for a morning safari. Pilanesberg protects a large wilderness area (about 550 km²) that is associated with an ancient volcanic complex and is well known for Big Five game viewing. With your private African Sky guide, we entered the reserve and spent several hours on a guided game drive, scanning open grasslands and rocky ridges for elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard, as well as giraffe, zebra, and a variety of antelope species. Stops were made at waterholes and viewpoints to stretch your legs, take photographs, and learn how the park’s geology shaped its habitats.

Around midday we stopped for a relaxed lunch break before continuing to the neighboring Sun City resort. The afternoon was devoted to exploring Sun City’s landscaped gardens, lakes, and signature attractions such as the Palace of the Lost City exterior and the entertainment precinct. Depending on your interests and timing, you could browse the shops, enjoy a coffee with views across the complex, or simply take in the architecture and atmosphere before departing. In the late afternoon, we began the return journey to Johannesburg or Pretoria and dropped you off at your chosen location, ending a full day that combines classic safari scenery with one of South Africa’s most famous resort destinations.
