South Africa Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Kruger National Park Safari
Guests are met upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg or any other location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria. From here we travel east , crossing the mountainous escarpment which forms the barrier between South Africa's inland Plateau and the lower lying coastal plains. After passing through the town of Nelspruit which is the economic hub of South Africa's lowveld, forested hills gradually give way to African bushveld as the safari reaches the Kruger Park. The Park is 18989 Square kilometers in extent and is the most important conservation area in South Africa and one of the three most visited national parks on the African continent. The late afternoon is devoted to a first Kruger Park Safari..

Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari
The day is devoted to two safaris in search of Africa's legendary Big Five. The safaris are led by an experienced guide whose intimate knowledge of the habits and behavior of the different animals is sure to ad to the enjoyment of the experience. There are sixteen different eco zones in the Kruger National Park each one characterize by specific vegetation, geology, soils, rainfall, and temperature. The different eco zones influence the distribution of various mammal species, with each species favoring a certain type of habitat.

Day 3: Kruger National Park Safari
A morning safari is conducted by your experienced guide. He will check the sightings of the previous day that have been logged by various groups, since this will increase your chance of seeing a pride of Lion on a recent kill or viewing the imposing white rhino or the illusive African Wild Dog in an area where it was recently spotted.

During the late afternoon guests embark on a night safari with a Kruger Park Ranger. The night safari makes possible sightings of creatures like the Genet, Serval and Aardvark which are rarely seen during the day. The large predators are nocturnal hunters and are in general more active during this period of the day.

Day 4: Departure
A last morning safari in the Kruger Park is followed by a late breakfast after which the safari makes its way back to Johannesburg. The sounds of the African Wild and the scenes of wildlife and African sunsets painted in memory forever. Guests are dropped off at any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria or are assisted with check in at the airport.
