Le Mirage - Sossusvlei, Namibia (Code L37)

In the Namib Desert, with spectacular views of vast open plains and the rolling red sand dunes of Sossusvlei, is the Le Mirage Desert Lodge and Spa. Le Mirage is only 21 km from Sesriem, the entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park and Sossusvlei. The North African inspired architecture resembles the fortress of an Arabian Prince, and offers ultimate luxury in the hot desert sand.
Le Mirage offers twenty-five rooms, which are built around a courtyard and have a high arched window, looking out over the Namib Desert. Each en-suite room has air-conditioning, a mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. The ground floor rooms at this Sossusvlei Lodge have big French doors opening out on to the open plains of the desert.

Inside the Le Mirage Desert Lodge the hot desert is forgotten, with flowing water, a sparkling pool, green vegetation and cool open spaces. Enjoy delicious meals at the spacious restaurant, accompanied with some wine from the well stocked wine cellar, or just have a nice cool beverage from the bar, before enjoying some dining outdoors, under the desert skies. The wellness centre specializes in aroma therapies, massages and de-stress treatments, allowing guests to unwind and forget about all their worries.

Guests can take on the desert on quad bike or look over it from the sky, with a scenic flight or a spectacular hot air balloon ride.
