Gorah Elephant Camp - Addo, South Africa (Code L7) |

Gorah Elephant Camp is the first private lodge to be located in one of South Africa’s National Parks. Gorah is found in the malaria free Addo Elephant Park which is located in South Africa’s Eastern Cape region. The Park is home to more than 400 elephant, and is acknowledged to be the National Park with the highest concentration of these largest of Africa’s mammal species. Addo is once again home to the Big Five. Accommodation at Gorah Elephant camp is provided in eleven spacious, luxury tents. Each tent is en-suite, has a private sitting area and a deck where guests can relax and gaze over the beautiful landscape of this wilderness area. The tents lights are powered by solar power, contributing to the eco friendly experience provided at Gorah. The tented suites are located some distance apart offering complete privacy. Central guest areas are provided in the Gorah House. This House was built in 1856 and has been lovingly restored to provide guests with a stylish and luxurious dining experience in the Addo Wilderness. In additional to the dining area and lounge, Gorah House offers a small library and a natural rock pool in which to cool of during the warm summer days. It is the base from which morning and afternoon open 4X4 game drives depart in search of the many different mammal plant and bird species which inhabit this part of Africa. |
