I have been meaning to write to you for several weeks now, but I finally sat down to do it.  Amanda told me you received our assessment form for the trip, but I wanted to let you know again how thrilled we were with everything.  It still amazes us how smoothly everything went when we consider all the different pieces that had to fit together to make our trip happen.

Let me start with Amanda – she was so incredible in her knowledge, accommodating attitude and her responsiveness.  We really felt like we made a wonderful new friend by the time we left her in Cape Town.  She just helped us feel at ease from the moment we stepped off the plane and answered all of our questions about the culture and uniqueness of South Africa so well throughout our stay with her.

I also want to repeat how thrilled we were with Gomo Gomo.  I know that it isn't’ as fancy and extravagant as some of the other lodges, but I can’t imagine ever going back and staying anywhere but Gomo Gomo again.  Our stay there was the most amazing experience we have ever had on vacation.  The service and family atmosphere that radiated from the lodge was apparent from the moment we got there.  And Arend was the most incredible ranger.  His knowledge and joy for the job made our stay that much better.  I told the camp that there isn't one thing in my opinion that they could do to improve, and I completely mean it.  It was just unbelievably perfect!

As we did our original planning, Carel Loubser was very creative in squeezing in a side trip to Victoria Falls within our limited time budget. I do not know how you were able to make sure we played the top 3 golf courses in the country, but you did, and the golf was divine! When my fiance and I began planning our July 2004 honeymoon, our desire was to combine golfing at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City with a South African Safari. Our research led us to African Sky Safaris and Tours and our dreams became an even greater reality than we ever imagined. When we saw how beautiful the Palace Hotel in Sun City was, we expressed an interest in getting married in South Africa. We knew we would never be able to plan this formal event without the assistance of true professionals.The African Sky Safaris and Tours team exceeded our expectations by taking care of all the legal matters necessary for Americans to wed in South Africa and by arranging the Minster, the flowers and a choice of photographers. On the wedding day they transported the Minister, the flowers and our photographer to Sun City from their offices in Pretoria and the General Manager served as one of our witnesses.The wedding was the beginning of a well orchestrated trip that led to our seeing the big five while on safari at Sabi Sabi and Mala Mala. Later we were flown to Victoria Falls to complete this dream honeymoon.
Every detail was attended to by African Sky, including all of our travel plans and transportation. We simply had to show up to enjoy the next adventure that had been carefully planned. It could not have been more perfect!
