Detailed Self Drive Tour Itinerary
Day 1: KwaZulu Natal North Coast
Clients are met upon arrival at Durban International Airport by a representative of African Sky Safaris and Tours who presents them with their self drive tour itinerary, a map book of South Africa as well as a GPS on which a suggested route has been pre programmed. The locations of the suggested activities and places of interest we suggest in this itinerary are also logged in the GPS. At this time clients are also presented with accommodation and other relevant vouchers which they will require on their self drive tour.

The Representative spends an hour with guests going over the route and offering suggestions and advice. All members of the African Sky Team have years of experience in conducting tours and safaris in South and Southern Africa. He or she should be able to answer any questions clients might have regarding their self drive holiday. The representative then assists them with collecting their rental car after which clients embark on their self drive holiday of South Africa. From Durban Airport a short drive bring guests to the magnificent Zimabali coastal resort.

Day 2-3: KwaZulu Natal North Coast
There is a health Spa on the premises where guests can treat themselves to the health and luxury they deserve. There are: 4 treatment rooms for body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures and massages and Health Hydro Shower. The beautiful and scenic towns along KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast offer spectacular scenery for hiking and birdwatching.

Day 7-8: Mkuze
The next two days guests will spend at the Mkuze Falls Lodge located along the northern bank of the  Mkuze  River, in the heart of Kwa Zulu Natal. Mkuze Falls is one of only two Private Game Reserves in the region where you can view the 'Big 5' - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant and for bird lovers, nearly 400 species of birds are resident. Experience the unique richness that this peaceful part of Africa has to offer. It is a place of pure tastes and simple delights, celebrating the thrill of nature. Two game drives on open 4X4 vehicles are included daily.

Day 9: Umhlanga
After the tranquility of the bush guests can now venture into the quaint and vibey town of Umhlanga. Guests will book into the Beverly Hills Hotel one of South Africa’s most glamorous and luxurious accommodation offerings. Renowned for its superb personal service, luxury accommodation and fine dining, the Beverly Hills Hotel is the epitome of gracious hospitality. Set on a rise overlooking the Indian Ocean, it offers glorious views of miles of unspoilt beaches.
Umhlanga has a variety of trendy coffee shops, restaurants and shopping malls all within walking distance of the hotel. A beautiful long seafront promenade offers guests a refreshing and brisk walk along the beautiful beach front.

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast at leisure guests can make their way to Durban International Airport where they will hand over their vehicle and book on to their flight heading home.
