Detailed Safari Itinerary :
Day 1: Chobe

Guests are met at any location in Johannesburg and are transferred to the airport for a flight to Livingstone where they are met. Some time is devoted to viewing the Victoria Falls. These Falls are regarded as one of the worlds natural wonders. They occur in the Zambezi River, are approximately 1.7km wide and plummet between 107 to 108m to the river gorge far below. The border is then crossed into Botswana as the safari makes its way to the Chobe National Park.
Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Chobe
The Chobe River, which flows along the Northeastern border of the park is a drinking spot for large herds of elephant, buffalo and other mammal species during the dry season. The area is characterized by lush plains and dense teak forest. Elephant can often be spotted swimming between the Islands found in the river in search of good grazing. The day is devoted to two open 4X4 safaris accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker exploring the wonders of this wilderness area and gaining some insight into the habits and behavior of the animal species which are protected in the Chobe National Park. The Chobe National Park is one of the most popular Botswana Safari areas.
Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge Meals: Full Board

Day 3: Chobe
A morning game drive is conducted in the Chobe National Park. In addition to sightings of the larger mammals your ranger will also provide some insight into the signs left by the smaller animals as they go about their daily lives in this untouched corner of Africa. An afternoon sunset cruise on the Chobe River offers a unique vantage point from which to view the herds of antelope and elephant as they approach the waters edge for a late afternoon drink. Their senses always primed to detect predators which might lurk in the thick vegetation on the riverbanks.
Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge Meals: Full Board

Day 4: Savute
A last morning game drive in the North Eastern section of the Chobe National Park is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to Kasane for a short charter flight to the Savute section of Chobe. The Savute Marsh is the relic of a large inland lake that dried up millions of years ago when its water supply was cut off by tectonic movements. The erratic Savute Channel which is lined by dead trees provides a water supply to the region. The region is characterized by rolling savannah grassland. Large herds of Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala and pass through the area and attract great numbers of predators. An open 4X4 afternoon safari is conducted in this area by your experienced ranger and tracker.
Overnight: Savute Elephant Camp Meals: Full Board

Day 5: Savute
Savute is the only area in Africa where Lion prey on mature elephant. This rare phenomenon has been captured on film by world renowned wildlife photographers Dereck and Beverly Joubert. The possibility of sighting a pride of Lion feeding on an elephant will add to the excitement of a day devoted to exploring this, one of Africa's most remote wilderness areas, in the company of an experienced ranger and tracker.
Overnight: Savute Elephant Camp Meals: Full Board

Day 6: Okavango Delta
A last morning safari in Savute is followed by a transfer to a local airstrip from which guests fly to the Okavango Delta. The Okavango River , which rises in the highlands of Angola, never reaches the sea. Instead, its mighty waters empty over the sand of the Kalahari. Here the thirst land of the south meets a blue-green wilderness of fresh water, with emerald reed beds and towering trees. The late afternoon is devoted to a first game experience accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers in an area where the wilderness and the species that grace it have largely survived untouched by time and humanity
Overnight: Eagle Island Meals: Full Board

Day 7: Okavango Delta
The day is spent on an early morning and late afternoon game drive. The opportunities to view game and the astonishing bird life are unsurpassed. Professional rangers are experts in the ability to find game, and their knowledge and insight into the habits and behavior of the different species is sure to add to the wonder of the Botswana Safari experience. The Okavango , hunted by the Bushmen for as long as 10,000 years can be described as one of the most beautiful and unique of all Africa's wildlife refuges. It supports the greatest diversity of animals of all Botswana's National Parks and it is the only place in the world where the waters of a great river vanish into the sands of a harsh landscape, creating a unique oasis.

Overnight: Eagle Island

Meals: Full Board

Day 8: Okavango Delta
The day is devoted to game drives , bush walks and Mokoro rides on the waterways of the Okavango. All game activities focus on interpretive viewing of the abundance of mammal and bird species which call the labyrinth of channels and Islands home. From the majesty of the Big Five to the illusive ways of the Puku. The secrets of the wilderness unfold in the company of an experienced guide. Gliding silently in a pole propelled Mokoro close to the dense reed beds lining the waterways , with the sounds of Africa in your ears, is an experience sure to be remembered.
Overnight: Eagle Island Meals: Full Board

Day 9: Departure
A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to the airstrip for a charter flight to Maun and from there a flight to Johannesburg. Guests are met upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport (O.R. Tambo) from where they are transferred to any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria or assisted with checking in to a connecting flight.
