The Okavango, Chobe and Vic Falls Safari is a seven day fly in African safari experience which combines visits to the Victoria Falls in Zambia with the Okavango Delta and Chobe in Botswana.

At the Lodges in Botswana two game activities are conducted daily by experienced rangers and trackers. The activities alternate between land based and water based game viewing. At the Victoria Falls the highlights include viewing the fall from different vantage points and enjoying a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River.

African Safari Itinerary

Day 1-2: Okavango Delta Safari Guests are met at any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria from where they are transferred to O.R. Tambo International for a flight to Maun and from there a light charter connection into the heart of the Okavango Delta. The Okavango, hunted by the Bushmen as long as 10,000 years ago can be described as one of the most beautiful and unique of all Africa's wildlife refuges. It supports the greatest diversity of animals of all Botswana's National Parks and it is the only place in the world where the waters of a great river vanish into the sands of a harsh landscape, creating a unique oasis. Guests spend two nights at Xugana Island Lodge on a full board basis. Two game activities are conducted daily by the experienced rangers and trackers based at the lodge.

Day 3 - 4: Chobe Safari A last morning safari in the Okavango Delta is followed by a charter flight to Kasane where guests are met and transferred to the Chobe Game Lodge. The lodge sits on a hill overlooking the Chobe River. The Chobe National Park is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometers. It has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Guests spend two nights at Chobe Game Lodge on a full board basis. Two game activities are conducted daily by experienced rangers and trackers. The game activities consists of either open 4X4 game drives in the National Park or enjoying water based game viewing from a boat on the Chobe River.

Day 5: Livingstone A last morning game activity in Chobe is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to Botswana's border with Zambia. After crossing the river which forms the border between these two African Countries a short drive leads to the town of Livingstone. The town was named for the famous British explorer and sits on the Zambian side of the mighty Zambezi River in which occurs the Victoria Falls. These falls have inspired and awed explorers and poets alike. They truly are one of the world's natural wonders.

Day 6: Livingstone The morning is devoted to visiting the falls section of the "Mosi oa Tunya National Park". The name translates to" the smoke that thunders" which is the name locals have given the Victoria Falls. The sanctuary affords incredible views of the falls and during the dry season we walk across to Livingstone Island for a heart stopping peak across the edge of the falls. The park is home to the last Rhino in Zambia and guests might sight Zebra, Giraffe and from time to time Elephant also pass through the area. In the late afternoon a sunset cruise is enjoyed on the mighty Zambezi River. Traditional cocktails and snacks are served aboard the river boat. The sight of the setting sun over one of Africa's most impressive areas will surely be remembered.

Day 7: Departure
A last glimpse of the thundering Victoria Falls is followed by a transfer to Livingstone Airport and a flight to Johannesburg where guests are met and transferred to any location of their choice after a memorable safari experience in the Okavango, Chobe and Victoria Falls.
