Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Livingstone
Guests are met at any location in Johannesburg or Pretoria from where they are transferred to Johannesburg International (O.R. Tambo) for a flight to Livingstone. The town bears the name of the famous explorer Dr. David Livingstone, who is reputed to be the first European to discover the Victoria Falls. The afternoon is devoted to visiting the Falls section of the Mosi oa Tunya National Park from which exceptional views of the Victoria Falls can be enjoyed.

Day 2: Livingstone
The morning is spent visiting the Chief Makuni village, home to the Leya people. This is a unique opportunity to see how the local people live in a working village, not one built for tourists. Approximately 6000 people live here and a visit is a fascinating insight into their life style. A member of the village shows visitors around and they can see how traditional huts are built and decorated, take a look inside, meet the residents and see the locals at work.

The tour then heads back to the hotel where some time is devoted to relaxation before enjoying a late afternoon helicopter flip over the falls. This flight offers incredible views of the falls and surrounding areas. The duration of the flight is only approximately 15 minutes but the views are sure to be painted in your memory forever.

Day 3: Chobe Safari
Breakfast is followed by a drive of about an hour to Kazangula, the border post of Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. After crossing the border into Botswana a drive of about thirty minutes leads to Kasane which is situated on the edge of the Chobe National Park. The Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometers, has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. After check in at the lodge some time is allowed for relaxation before enjoying a first afternoon game drive accompanied by your experienced ranger and tracker.

Day 4: Chobe Safari
A morning safari in open 4X4 vehicles will bring guests in contact with the largest concentration of Elephant on the African continent, as well as hippo, buffalo, puku, antelope, lions and other mammals that gather on the banks of the Chobe River.

A sundown cruise is conducted on the Chobe River during the late afternoon. This offers a unique vantage point from which to enjoy wildlife coming to the waters edge for a late afternoon drink. Elephant will often be cooling down or on occasion will cross the river or cross between islands in the river to get to gain access to desired vegetation.

Day 5: Okavango Delta Safari
Guests are transferred to a local airstrip for a flight to the Okavango Delta. The Okavango River , which rises in the highlands of Angola, never reaches the sea. Instead, its mighty waters empty over the sand of the Kalahari. Here the thirst land of the south meets a blue-green wilderness of fresh water, with emerald reed beds and towering trees. The late afternoon is devoted to a first Okavango Delta safari accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers in an area where the wilderness and the species that grace it have largely survived untouched by time and humanity.

Day 6: Okavango Delta Safari
The day is spent on an early morning and late afternoon game drive. The opportunities to view game and the astonishing bird life are unsurpassed. Professional rangers are experts in the ability to find game, and their knowledge and insight into the habits and behavior of the different species is sure to add to the wonder of the experience. The Okavango Delta Safari area, hunted by the Bushmen as long as 10,000 years ago can be described as one of the most beautiful and unique of all Africa's wildlife refuges. It supports the greatest diversity of animals of all Botswana's National Parks and it is the only place in the world where the waters of a great river vanish into the sands of a harsh landscape, creating a unique oasis.

Day 7: Departure
A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast after which guests board a charter flight to Maun and from there an onward connection to Johannesburg. Guest are met upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International and are assisted in transferring to an onward bound flight or are transferred to any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria.
