The In depth Kruger National Park safari is an overland safari which departs from and returns to Johannesburg. The safari visits three different camps in Kruger from where the days are devoted to game drives in this wilderness paradise.
The Safari is led by an experienced African Sky Guide whose unique insight whose unique insight into the behavior and habits of the various species, and the habitat in general is sure to make this safari in the Kruger National Park an unforgettable experience. |

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Northern Kruger Safari
Guests are met at Johannesburg International Airport or any other location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria from where we travel north, passing through the town Pietersburg before descending the spectacular Magoebas Valley and reaching the town of Tzaneen. From Tzaneen we travel to Phalaborwa where the world renowned Kruger National Park is entered. The late afternoon is devoted to relaxing in camp with the sounds of the African wilderness welcoming guests on a Kruger Safari. |

Day 2: Northern Kruger Safari
A morning safari in the area to the North of Letaba is conducted by your experienced guide. The vegetation of the area is characterized by Mopani shrub which is a favorite food source of the Elephant and a sighting of these graceful giants is a near certainty on the morning game drive. We return to Camp for breakfast after which a visit is made to the Elephant Museum situated in Letaba. The museum gives guests a unique insight into these, the largest of the world's mammals and is home to the tusks of the "Magnificent Seven" (Largest Tuskers to have died in the Kruger National Park). A Kruger Safari conducted during the late afternoon focuses on searching for the large predators. Both the Lion and Leopard will become more active during the late afternoon as they start readying themselves for the evenings hunt. |

Day 3: Central Kruger Safari
It is off to an early start as the morning game drive makes its way south in the direction of Elephant Camp. En route the focus is on all aspects of the ecosystem where, creatures great and small are admired as they go about their daily routines in an area untouched by time and humanity. Elephant Camp nestled atop a hill adjacent to the valley of the Elephant River is reached where a late breakfast can be enjoyed. The safari continues south, en route to Lower Sabi. The Lebombo Mountains which form the border between South Africa and Mozambique are constantly visible to the east rising above the plains which are home to large herds of wildebeest and zebra as well as the predators which prey on them. |

Day 4: Central Kruger Safari
An early morning and late afternoon game drive in the company of your experienced ranger and tracker fill a day of wonder, as the rhythms of the wilderness and the laws that govern life in a remote ecosystem become more apparent. A sighting of the legendary Big Five, regarded to be the most majestic and awe inspiring mammals to be found anywhere in the world, would most certainly be one of the highlights of the safari. In addition to the lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard, the reserve is blessed with a rich diversity of antelope and other mammal species. The day will be completed with a night drive accompanied by one of the professional Game Rangers. The night Kruger Safari affords guests the opportunity of experiencing the nocturnal mammals of Kruger which are seen rarely during the daytime.

Day 5: Southern Kruger Safari
The dense vegetation which often characterizes the area between Lower Sabi and Skukuza is the focus of an early morning game drive in search of the species of mammals which make this area their home. Skukuza is reached for a late breakfast after which some time is devoted to visiting the local museum which depicts the history of the Kruger National Park and where the remarkable tale of one of Kruger's first rangers fight to the death with a Lion comes to light. The safari then travels south to Lower Sabi. The late afternoon is spent relaxing on the banks of the Sabi River, enjoying sun downers and catching a glimpse of animals coming to the waters edge for a drink.

Day 6: Southern Kruger Safari
The day is devoted to a morning game drive in the Southern Kruger National Park where a sighting of either the Black or White Rhino can be a possible highlight in an area which is home to the largest concentration of these pre-historic looking mammals. Breakfast is enjoyed at Berg en Dal on the southern border of Kruger before returning to Lower Sabi. Just before sunset guests embark on a night game drive where the nocturnal animals can be viewed from the back of open game drive vehicles. |

Day 7: Departure
A last morning game drive in this wilderness area is followed by a breakfast and a return journey to Johannesburg via the national highway. Guests are dropped off at any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria after a memorable Kruger Safari. |
