The Kruger and Private Lodge Safari combines a safari experience in the Kruger National Park with a Private Lodge safari. In the Kruger National Park game drives are conducted by an experienced African Sky guide. At the Arathusa Safari Lodge the game drives are conducted by an experienced ranger.
This safari is a wonderful way of enjoying two totally different but equally memorable safari experiences in the Kruger National Park.

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kruger National Park Safari
Guests are met upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport ( O. R. Tambo) or any other location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria from where the safari travels east, passing through the towns of Nelspruit and Hazyview en route to the world renowned Kruger National Park. Kruger is the largest of all the South African National Parks and has recently been combined with Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe and the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique to form the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park which is one of Africa's largest wildlife sanctuaries.The late afternoon is devoted to a first game drive in this remarkable wilderness area. |

Day 2: Kruger National Park Safari
An early morning and late afternoon game drive in the company of your experienced guide fill a day of wonder as the rhythms of the wilderness and the laws that govern life in a remote ecosystem become more apparent. A sighting of the legendary Big Five, regarded to be the most majestic and awe inspiring mammals to be found anywhere in the world, would most certainly be a highlight of the safari. In addition to the lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard, the reserve is blessed with a rich diversity of antelope and other mammal species. |

Day 3: Sabi Sand Private Lodge Safari
A last morning game drive in the Kruger National Park is followed by a transfer to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve which shares a 50 km common unfenced border with Kruger, this allows the free movement of animals. The focus of this safari is to give guests the opportunity to experience the different safari experiences which are offered by the National Park and a Private Game Reserve. The late afternoon is devoted to an open 4X4 safari which extends into the evening and gives guests the opportunity to spot some of the nocturnal animals which grace this part of Africa. |

Day 4: Sabi Sand Private Lodge Safari
The ever changing moods of this land will capture your soul as the day is once again devoted to two open 4X4 safaris accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.The Sabi Sand is home to no fewer than 330 tree species, 45 fish species, 30 amphibian species, 110 reptile species, 500 bird species and an incredible 145 species of mammal. The wildlife sightings in the Sabi Sand are amongst the finest in Africa. It is especially notable that this private reserve offers the greatest frequency of Leopard sightings on the African continent. |

Day 5: Departure
A last morning safari is followed by a late breakfast after which guests are transferred to Hoedspruit airport for a flight to Johannesburg where a remarkable Kruger Park Safari which combines the experience of the National Park with the luxury of a Private Game Lodge comes to an end. |
