African Safari Safari Itinerary |

|
Day 1: Savute Safari
Guests are met at any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria from where they are transferred to O.R. Tambo International airport for a flight to Maun and from there an onward connection to Savute. The Savute Safari Area is part of the Chobe National Park. During the rainy season it attracts vast herds of plains game and the predators that prey on them. The area is characterized by open grassland which provides exceptional photographic opportunity. The late afternoon is devoted to a first open 4X4 safari accompanied by your experienced ranger and tracker. |

Day 2: Savute Safari
The day is devoted to an early morning and late afternoon open 4X4 safari. The Savute Channel which runs for almost 100 km's from the Linyanti Swamp, feeds the Savute Swamp which is located in the Mababe depression. This channel has been dry for almost 20 years and is a mysterious feature of the area as it has in the past flowed during dry years and been dry during years in which the rainfall has been exceptionally high. |

Day 3: Savute Safari
The day is devoted to an early morning and late afternoon open 4X4 safari. In addition to the great numbers of plains game like Zebra and Wildebeest the area is blessed with a prolific bird life which can be seen around the Savute Marsh throughout the year. These include secretary birds, kori bustards and redbilled francolins with the summer migrants including Abdim's storks and carmine bee-eaters. Bird watchers may be lucky to see the gathering of Quelea finches – a single flock can contain tens of thousands of these small birds. |
