The Cape Safari is a luxury South Africa safari experience at Aquila Private Game Reserve which is located no more than two hours from Cape Town. It is the closest safari lodge to Cape Town where a Big Five Safari can be enjoyed.
At Aquila Private Game Lodge two game drives are included on open 4X4 vehicles daily. The Game drives are conducted by an experienced ranger and tracker. Meals are included on a full board basis. |

Day 1: Cape Safari - Aquila
Guests are met at Cape Town International or any other location of their choice in Cape Town from where the safari travels north via the scenic Du Toitskloof Pass to Aquila Private Game Reserve. The reserve is one of the finest places in the Western Cape to experience an authentic safari. The late afternoon is devoted to a first game drive in this area of unique ecology. Your rangers knowledge of the behavior and habits of the various species is sure to add greatly to the enjoyment of the experience.

Day 2: Cape Safari - Aquila
|
| The day is devoted to an early morning and late afternoon game drive in search of the many species which grace this part of Southern Africa. In addition to the various plains game animals the reserve is also home to the Big Five (Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant and Rhino). Sightings of these most imposing of the African mammals at close quarters is sure to be a highlight. Excellent examples of rock art are also viewed while on safari. |

Day 3: Cape Safari - Aquila
The day is once again devoted to two open 4X4 safaris in the company of your experienced ranger. The Lodge is named after the rare Black Eagle which is endemic to the southern Karoo. A sighting of one of these graceful birds in its natural habitat could be one of the days highlights. |

Day 4: Departure
A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast after which we depart back to Cape Town. Before returning to the South African mother city visits are made to two wineries where some of South Africa's finest can be sampled in surroundings which can only be described as breathtaking. The safari returns to Cape Town during the late afternoon. |
