The Two Luxury Lodges Safari focus on safari experiences in the Sabi Sand in two of South Africa's premier private game reserves. The safari starts in and returns to Johannesburg.

Two nights are spent at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve where luxury accommodation and exceptional game viewing is enjoyed before a short transfer brings guests to the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. Lion Sands is the only game reserve in the area which offers access to the Sabi River.

Kruger National Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve Guests are met at any location of their choice in Johannesburg from where they are transferred to the Airport for a flight to the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. Sabi Sabi is set in the 65 000 Ha Sabi Sand Private Reserve and is a unique wildlife oasis which has for over 30 years been a preferred safari destination for foreign visitors to South Africa. After some time for settling in at the lodge guests are taken on a late afternoon safari which extends into the early evening. The safari is conduced from the back of open 4X4 vehicles by experienced rangers and trackers in this wilderness area where the Big Five still roam supreme.

Day 2: Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve The ever changing moods of this land will capture your soul as the day is once again devoted to two open 4X4 safaris accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. The Sabi Sand is home to no fewer than 330 tree species, 45 fish species, 30 amphibian species, 110 reptile species, 500 bird species and an incredible 145 species of mammal. The wildlife sightings in the Sabi Sand are amongst the finest in Africa. It is especially notable that this private reserve offers the greatest frequency of Leopard sightings on the African continent.

Day 3: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve A last morning game drive in the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is followed by a transfer to Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. The Lion Sands Reserve lies in the South Eastern corner of the Sabi Sand and is the only reserve in the Sabi Sand with access to the Sabi River. Largest of the rivers which flow through the area. During the late afternoon the ranger team at Lion Sands lead guests on a safari in this reserve. At sunset a stop is made at a unique vantage point where guest enjoy sundowners with the setting sun over one of Africa’s most unique wilderness areas providing the ambiance of the experience.

Day 4: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve The African dawn is filled with bird song and the sounds of a land awakening to the new day as a first open 4X4 safari is conducted by your experienced ranger and tracker. The possibility of finding predators on a kill made during the night adds to the excitement. The safari returns to camp for a late breakfast after which guests are allowed some time for relaxation or a bush walk before embarking on an afternoon safari which is extended into the evening.

Day 5: Departure A last morning game drive at Lions Sands is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to the local airstrip for a flight to Johannesburg where they are met and transferred to any location of their choice in the city.
