Kruger Park Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve Guests are met at any location of their choice in Johannesburg from where they are transferred to the airport for a flight to the Sabi Sand. From the airstrip the safari makes its way to the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. The Reserve was established in 1933 and occupies some of the finest territory in the Sabi Sand. Ivory Lodge is one of only a handful of lodges which are located on the banks of the Sabie River. The afternoon leads on a first open 4X4 safari in the company of one of Lion Sand’s experienced rangers.

Day 2: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve Two game drives are conducted on this day. One during the early morning and one which starts in the late afternoon and extends into the early evening. A incredible diversity of different mammal species, most notably the Big Five are found in large numbers in the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. It is especially notable that Leopard sightings are both frequent and normally in very close proximity to the game drive vehicle. The Sabi Sand and more specifically the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is one of the finest places in Africa for spotting these most illusive of cats.

Day 3: Lion Sands Private Game Reserve Two game drives and a bush walk will bring guests close to the famous African Big Five, offering sightings of Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino. Walking through a wilderness area with nothing but a guide and his rifle to protect you is a surprisingly peaceful experience. Once you get over the fear of being in the wild with nothing to separate you from the animals, your senses relax and begin to tune themselves to the immediate smells, sights, and sounds of the South African wilderness. An experience that will live with you a lifetime.

Day 4: Departure A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Johannesburg. Guests are met upon arrival in Johannesburg and are transferred to any location of their choice in the city.
