Day 1-3: Rovos Rail
Guests will be met at O.R. Tambo International Airport Johannesburg and transferred to the Rovos Rail's private Capital Park Station to board the Pride of Africa. Rovos Rail combines the opulence of pre-war travel with subtle modern innovations. You will wind languidly through Southern Africa, being carried on a journey back in time. Guests will enjoy the luxury of handsome wood paneling and period Edwardian features in their suites. The suites are air-conditioned and spacious. The superb cuisine served aboard the Pride of Africa is simple and elegant. There is an accent on fresh local ingredients, and traditional dishes such as game are a specialty. A full breakfast is served in the morning with dishes cooked to order. A selection of cold meats, croissants, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals and preserves make up a tempting breakfast buffet. For lunch and dinner, there is a starter and a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian dish followed by a tempting dessert. A selection of fine wines from some of South Africa's most renowned cellars and estates complement the menus. Tables are set formally with fine china, crisp linen and silver.
