Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Welgevonden
Guest will be met at O.R. Tambo International Johannesburg and driven to Ekuthuleni nestled in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains in South Africa's Northern Province. This 'Place of Peace' in the indigenous Zulu tongue, is part of the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, a malaria free, wildlife sanctuary covering some 33 000 hectares. Each suite has magnificent views of the grasslands and gives a whole new meaning to nature on your doorstep. Bathrooms are exceptional with both indoor and private outdoor showers. Guest will enjoy two game drives and a bush walk daily where they can experience the rich bird life, a variety of fascinating trees and plants, an abundance of other wildlife, as well as the big five.

Day 2-4: Welgevonden
Guests will be taken on the early morning game drives to experience the waking of the African wildlife. Back at the lodge a delicious breakfast is served and guests can relax around the refreshing pool or experience a bush walk. Guests can sip on sundowner drinks before embarking on the night drive. Nightlife abounds in the African bush and dangers lurk everywhere. Lions on the hunt and leopards stalking prey in the cover of darkness are truly magnificent sights to behold. Return to sit around a crackling fire sharing in your wonderful experiences.

Day 5-7: Pilanesberg
After the early morning drive guests enjoy a breakfast and are then transferred to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park ranks among the largest national parks in southern Africa. The Pilanesberg countryside comprises numerous hills and broad open plains and is well stocked with game, which includes the Big Five - and over 360 bird species. It is situated on the eroded remains of an extinct alkaline volcanic crater - one of only three such extensive craters in the world. Guests will experience three days in the Bakubung Game Lodge where game drives with qualified field guides accompanying guests either on foot or in open-air vehicles are organized to explore the untamed bush. To finish off the day guest’s can share their wildlife experiences at a blazing campfire, while marveling at the spectacle of innumerable stars in the exclusive Boma Lapa of the resort. Guests can also find solitude by sitting and relaxing on their patio watching the hippos in the lodge's hippo pool.

Day 8-11: Sun City
Guests will enjoy a last morning game drive and after breakfast will be transferred to Sun City Cabanas in the magnificent Sun City Resort. Guests will be booked into the Cabanas where they will be at leisure to explore the resort. A shuttle is available throughout the day and night to transport guests from one hotel to the next as well as the Valley of the Waves and the Entertainment Centre. Four days are spent in the Sun City Cabanas Hotel where you can play tennis and squash, enjoy horse riding, discover the nature trails and two very different golf courses are available for guests to enjoy : The Gary Player Country Club, home of the annual Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge and the Lost City Golf Course, with live Crocodiles at the thirteenth! Guests are sure to be kept busy.

Day 12: Departure
Guests will be collected after breakfast and transferred to O.R. Tambo International Johannesburg to board their outbound flight.
