Situated on an island in the Kwando River, is the Susuwe Island Lodge. The lodge is located in the Caprivi Area of Namibia. The river provides a permanent water source and ensures a variety of vegetation. Six brick and thatched buildings provide accommodation at this Namibia Safari Lodge. The spacious chalets have a double bedroom, bathroom and lounge area, where guests can relax with a book in hand. Each unit has a private deck, with spectacular views. Each of these wooden decks has its own plunge pool where guests can spend their spare time.

Susuwe complements the river forest, with the main complex set under a lofty canopy of trees, with viewing decks overlooking the landscape. The main building also has a luxury dining room and comfortable lounge area, where you may relax and enjoy a book or just converse. Guests can pick up a souvenir at the lodge’s well stocked curio shop.

Bwabwata National Park is visited on daily game drives in search of various game species. These game drives are held twice daily and the night time trips are especially interesting and offer great insight and understanding of the African bush. Bird watching is fascinating and plentiful at any time in the bush.
