Shibula Lodge and Bush Spa is a five star, accredited lodge and is home to the legendary Big Five.  Shibula Lodge is one of a few lodges situated in the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, located in the Waterberg Biosphere, with spectacular views of the majestic Waterberg Mountains.  Set on the banks of a river, Shibula Lodge offers fantastic sightings of the Big Five and rare species like the Aardvark, Brown Hyena, Eland, Gemsbok, Tsessebe and Bush Pig.

Game drives are conducted each day in search of a variety of game and bird species. An experienced ranger accompanies every game drive, which is normally held one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. Game walks are also held and are both informative and inspiring, especially when you learn more about the eco system and what great role each aspect plays in the great circle of life.

Shibula Lodge offers guests a choice of four standard and four luxury suites.  The luxury suites are slightly more spacious than the standard suites and have a lounge with a fire place.  Two of the luxury suites have their own splash pool, one has a spa bath in the bedroom and the other one has a Jacuzzi on the outside patio, with incredible views of the cliffs.  The standard suites are also equipped with an outside Jacuzzi.  All standard and luxury suites have their own private patio, to enjoy the smells of nature while relaxing with beautiful views of the surrounding area.  An inside and outside shower are also available at all eight suites.

Enjoy the smells of nature combined with the aroma of herbs and essential oils while unwinding in the Bush Spa at this Welgevonden Lodge.  The main deck, overlooking the waterhole, provides unbelievable sightings of numerous game and bird species, coming to the water to quench their thirst or to play in. Breakfast may be enjoyed on the banks of the river, and a candlelit dinner can be enjoyed on the deck.  Alternatively guests have a choice of enjoying a private dinner in the wine cellar or for a more festive dinner, have it in the boma, with traditional dancers and singers entertaining them under a blanket of stars.
