Onguma Tented Camp - Etosha, Namibia (Code L47) |

Onguma Tented Camp, meaning ‘the place you don’t want to leave’ in the local Herero language, is situated in the Onguma Game Reserve. This spectacular game reserve is found in the eastern section of the Etosha National Park and borders the stunning Fisher’s Pan. The reserve hosts four of the big five and a variety of game and bird species can be viewed at Onguma Tented Camp.
The seven spacious tents at Onguma tented camp live up to the meaning of their name. With fantastic views of the waterhole and luxury styles, the tents make guests feel at home in the African Bushveld. The en-suite bathroom consists of a shower, a modern zinc bath and stone basins. Take a shower, under Africa’s starry skies in the tent’s outdoor shower. Guests can unwind in the tent’s luxuriously comfortable private seating area.
Game viewing at Onguma Tented Camp can be done from soft sofas in the lodge's lounge. During guests’ stay, they will have the benefit of a number of activities at the waterhole. Enjoy an ice-cold cooler in the refreshing waters of the pool on the hot lazy afternoons. Excellent cuisine is served at night, in elegant surroundings and a perfect atmosphere.
Go on a guided 4x4 game drive, with the resident ranger at Onguma Tented Camp. These drives are conducted twice daily, with one being in the evening till after sunset. This is the best way to view all the nocturnal animals of Africa. Guided walks are also held for those who prefer to see what the Namib has to offer when you are on foot. |
