Lion Sands Ivory Lodge - Sabi Sand, South Africa

Lion Sands is situated in the southern section of the Sabie Sands Game Reserve and is the only private game reserve that has access to the Sabie River.  The southern section is known for its high diversity of wildlife throughout the year.  Lion Sands is also close to the Kruger National Park, with animals roaming freely between the two reserves, with the only boundary being formed by the Sabie River. Ivory Lodge is one of the most luxurious lodges in the Sabi Sands.

Decorated in a theme of ebony and ivory, Lion Sands Ivory Lodge consists of 6 luxurious suites.  At this Luxury Sabi Sands Game Lodge each suite has an open plan bathroom as well as an outdoor shower.  Guests can relax in their own heated plunge pool or sit in front of a log fire in their suite's private lounge.  The suites have air-conditioning and an overhead fan for those warm summer days, and each bed has a mosquito net.  Belongings are safe as the lodge provides a safe in the suites.  The suites are at least 20 meters apart, ensuring privacy.

The camp has a river island deck that is built on the Sabie River, where guests can relax and watch the bird- and wildlife.   There are also other viewing decks available for guests to utilize between game viewing activities.  Guests can relax in the Lalamuka Health Spa or work up a sweat in the gymnasium.  For those who appreciate a good wine, you can get lost in the wine cellar which contains many of South Africa’s finest wines.  A cocktail can be enjoyed in front of a crackling fire, in the private bar, or guests can relax with a book in the library lounge.  There is also a curio shop on the camp grounds, where you can buy a memento.  Dinner is served indoors or outdoors in the boma, with a log fire making the evening even more peaceful, bringing you closer to the wild outdoors.
