At Kulala Desert Lodge breathtaking views of vast open plains, mountains and the red sand dunes of Sossusvlei can be enjoyed. Kulala Desert Lodge is situated in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve, which borders the Namib Naukluft Park. Familiar noises are forgotten in the silence, ensuring the perfect holiday for people wanting to get away from it all.

Fifteen thatched and canvas “kulalas”, meaning ‘to sleep’ in Oshiwambo, are the lodges' accommodation at Kulala Desert Lodge. The “kulalas” are all en-suite and have a verandah overlooking the vast plains. Guests can sleep under the clear starry skies and enjoy a cool breeze on the deck of the “kulalas” flat rooftop.

The northern African decorated Kulala Desert Lodge has a verandah around it. The verandah overlooks a waterhole, which attracts a diversity of wildlife. A lounge for relaxation, a pub, to maybe get together with other guests, and a dining room are also features of the main area. The plunge pool can be used at any time and will especially be enjoyed on a hot summers' day.

In the early morning nature drives are conducted from Kulala Desert Lodge  to the Sossusvlei dunes after a light breakfast of muffins, cereal, bread, croissants, fruit and yogurt with some tea and coffee. Take a walk to Dead Vlei or scale a sand dune, while out on safari. Afterwards enjoy a brunch with some beverages at Sossusvlei on lovely picnic tables, before returning to the camp. The afternoon drive begins with beverages and savoury cakes, and is highlighted by sundowners and snacks in the middle of the desert, after which guests return to camp for dinner. Spectacular scenes can be experienced from the skies, should guests choose to add a balloon ride to their safari at Kulala Desert Lodge.
