Kings Camp is a luxury Timbavati Game Lodge situated in the north-eastern corner of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.  Timbavati shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park, ensuring a diversity of animal life roaming freely between the two reserves. Most notable of the animals found in the area is the Big Five. The lodge faces an open savannah plain, with a waterhole where animals frequently make a visit to quench their thirst. 

Kings Camp has 11 thatched colonial suites.  Each suite has its own bathroom with a shower and Victorian bath.  Those who would like to take a shower in their natural surroundings can do so in the outside shower, provided at each suite.  The suites have air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, a fully stocked mini bar and mosquito nets. Guests can relax in a hammock provided on their suites private verandah.

You can also enjoy nature and do some game viewing on the lodge’s viewing deck, in the lounge or in the bar, while sipping your favourite drink.  Alternatively guests can soak in the pool overlooking the waterhole.  Breakfast and lunch is served in the dining room, which has spectacular views of the bushveld.  The atmosphere at dinner is enhanced by the crackling sounds of the log fire and the stunning views of the starry sky.  The Boma brings guests closer to the African night life, echoing in the background.  A range of spa treatments is on offer as well as a fully equipped gym.  The lodge also has a library, with a variety of books to choose from, and a curio shop where guests can buy souvenirs for their loved ones.

Safaris on open 4x4 vehicles are conducted twice daily at Kings Camp, one in the morning, with tea, coffee and biscuits, and one in the evenings, with drinks and canapés. Guests also have a chance to track game on foot during guided bush walks. For a wonderfully relaxing treat, visit the Therapy Lapa, which has a wide range of treatments on offer. Another interesting sight to visit is the Moholoholo Wildlife and Rehabilitation Centre, where visitors get a close view of Lion, Leopard, Servals, Caracals, Honey Badger, Eagles and vultures, and learn more about wildlife rehabilitation.
