Characterized by un spoilt wilderness and lakes, the Okavango Delta is one of the most spectacular wildlife areas in Africa and one of the most popular Botswana Safari destinations. The area is rich in game and bird species with the habitat consisting of palm trees, savannah grassland and forest glades. Camp Okavango is situated in the middle of the Okavango Delta and is surrounded by floodplain's and channel systems.
With each room facing the Okavango Forest, relaxing on the room's private deck is a favorite past time at Camp Okavango. Each room is raised from the ground and elevated pathways connect the rooms to the main lodge. For a more romantic Botswana Safari experience, guests can stay in the camp's suite. The suite’s deck offers spectacular views of the Papyrus lined channel and forest islands.
Experience the Okavango Delta with a boat cruise in eco-friendly canoes or on a motorboat and be surrounded by water. Alternatively join an experienced guide on a game drive or a nature walk. Shaded by giant Mangosteen trees, guests can enjoy a cocktail at the cocktail bar or relax in the lounge with a reference book taken from the lodges' library. The dining room is extended onto a patio for dining under the stars and in front of a crackling log fire. You can also enjoy a swim in the plunge pool or visit the secluded bird hide.
