Adjacent to the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, and with the sandy white beaches of the Indian Ocean on the other side of the reserve, is the Phinda Private Game Reserve. One of the extraordinary lodges located here is the Phinda Rock Lodge, set into a cliff-face, over looking the striking Leopard Rock.
Perched on the side of a Rocky cliff are six luxurious en-suite suites. Three suites have an outside shower for guests who want to experience true nature with cool water dripping on their skin. Each Suite has its own private plunge pool and deck for relaxing, while appreciating the sweeping views of Leopard Rock. All suites are equipped with their own personal bar and have a private sitting area. Rock Lodge is one of the most exclusive lodges situated on the Phinda Private Game Reserve.
Relax in the guest dining and sitting area with a warm fireplace creating a peaceful, romantic atmosphere. Connected to the dining and sitting area is a shaded deck overlooking the Lebombo Mountains and the valley below. Game viewing is exceptional with two daily open vehicle game drives and an alternative boat cruise on the Mzinene River. Numerous extra activities can be booked at the lodge. These activities include Scuba Safaris, Beach Horse Riding, Night Turtle Drives and many more. Dinner is either served in the privacy of guests’ suites, in the dinning area or on the exclusive deck.
