In the heart of KwaZulu Natal is the Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve. The reserve is one of two reserves in the province that is home to the big five. Ecosystems found in the reserve consist of riverine bush, wetland, lowveld bushveld and montane grassland. These ecosystems form the habitat of a variety of animal and bird species thus making sightings frequent and incredible. The reserve gets its name from the spectacular falls and wetlands that are part of the landscape. Mkuze Falls Lodge is situated on the northern bank of the Mkuze Falls Lodge.
Nine thatched chalets and one safari suite offer guests spectacular views of the Mkuze Waterfall. The chalets and suite have 180 degree views of the river, bush and mountains. Relax in the private plunge pool or on the deck with a cocktail, gazing upon these spectacular views. Feel part of nature while taking a refreshing shower in the outdoor shower and step out into the comfort of the air-conditioned room. The safari suite is perfect for special occasions with a big bedroom and sitting area and fully equipped kitchen. The suite has all the facilities of the chalets with just that little bit of extra luxury.
Experience your surroundings while relaxing on the wooden deck with only the wildlife disturbing your peace. Enjoy your favorite drink at the bar or laze around in the swimming pool. Traditional dancers and singers will entertain you at dinner in the boma. Enjoy a sumptuous meal while they teach you about their way of life.
