Situated on the border of the Kruger National Park is the Mala Mala Game Reserve. Animals have the opportunity to roam freely between the two reserves. Each day open 4 x 4 safaris are conducted at Mala Mala in search of all these game species. A wide range of habitats can be found at Mala Mala, ranging from river brush to open savannah, which accommodate the entire range of animal and bird species found in the area.
Mala Mala Main Camp consists of 8 luxury thatched suites and 10 luxury thatched rooms. Each individually decorated room has its own ‘his’ and ‘hers’ bathroom and direct telephone lines. Comfort is not an issue as the rooms are provided with 24 hour temperature control, a mini bar, mini safe and tea and coffee making facilities.
In the shade of the Jackalberry tree a large wooden deck can be found, from which guests can observe game and bird life, or they can relax in the swimming pool on a warm summer’s day and watch the animals graze by. The opportunities are endless for game and bird watching. The camp offers the buffalo lounge, air-conditioned dining room, where breakfast and lunch is served, and a significant bar to relax in. At Mala Mala Dinner is served around a log fire with the night life echoing in the distance. Guests can stay connected via an internet connection or satellite television in the library. Those who like to keep fit can stay that way by using the small fitness facility situated on the camp grounds. Other facilities on offer are a safari boutique and a fully stocked wine cellar.
